History of the Minhiriath: From Wikipedia
Minhiriath (Sindarin for 'Between Rivers' and thus an Elvish form of
Mesopotamia) was located in Eriador, a name for all the lands between
the Hithaeglir and the Ered Luin. Minhiriath had no clear border in the
north, but to the south, and east and west it was bounded by river and
sea : the Brandywine, the Greyflood and Belegaer, 'The Great Sea'.
The original inhabitants of Minhiriath (Minhiriathrim) were
descended from the same Atani as the ancestors of the Númenóreans, but
because they spoke mutually unintelligible languages, the Númenóreans
did not class the Minhiriathrim as Middle Men.
When the large-scale deforestation of their land began under the
Númenórean 'Ship Kings' after the 7th century Second Age, the
minhiriathrim became openly hostile, and were persecuted. Only those
who "fled from Minhiriath into the dark woods of the great Cape of Eryn
Vorn" survived. Most, if not all of these forest-dwellers subsequently
"welcomed Sauron and hoped for his victory over the Men of the Sea",
but they were to be disappointed - and permanently trapped - by
Sauron's burning of much of the rest of the surviving forest, and final
defeat, in S.A. 1701.
After our brethren were destroyed, burned and scattered by Sauron’s
forces, those who fled Minhiriath and survived Sauron’s purge were
divided and homeless. Some, still loyal to Sauron joined him, while
others, who preferred to take revenge on those who destroyed their
forests decided to join the leagues of men, elves and dwarves who
sought to destroy Sauron.
They called themselves “The Marauders of Minhiriath” or “The
Minhiriathrim Marauders”. Lost, homeless, desperate and filled with a
hatred of Sauron, they allied themselves in the war against Sauron.
There they found themselves with other peoples who had been scattered.
Unfettered by the morals and laws of other "civilized" societies, they
relied on their wits and their cunning. The Minhiriath value loyalty
above all other civilized "moral". The Minhiriathrim Marauders are the
rough men who, while some consider them to be dangerous and too
independant, they are often called upon to do the dirty deeds necessary
to protect the freedom of all peoples.
After the destruction of Sauron by Isildur, the Minhiriathrim
Marauders no longer became a group of men, but an idea; an idea that
all peoples will survive the evils of the age. Elves and Dwarves who
had lost their homes and lands joined with the Minhiriathrim Marauders
and started to form nomadic bands of explorers and traders. The
Marauders began to wander the lands, exploring distant parts of middle
earth and collecting rare and valuable items to trade with all peoples.
Their caravans travelled the world, their distinctive tent a signal to
all people that the Minhiriath were there (and ready to sell). This was
the history of the Marauders until the dark clouds over Mordor started
to form again.
Each Minhiriath felt the stirring, a horrible, yet familiar feeling
in their soul. Sauron was gaining power and the fires of Mordor were
about to be unleashed again. The Minhiriathrim Marauders, gathered
their arms that were, until now, used for self defense and hunting.
They made contact with their old alliances, some of whom were ready to
kill again, others were soft and fat. Over the years, the Minhiriath
kept their skills sharp, without a home or a land, they mapped the
world, they studied the beasts and became true explorers.

"Mines of Moria Known Issues - Last Updated 11/25/08
The following are known issues for the Mines of Moria expansion. This
list will be updated as needed, so please check it periodically! For
information on changes and fixes coming in Patch 1, please click here!
Quests
The quests "A Flight of Drakes" and "Dead-Fall"
are not working correctly and have temporarily been disabled. They will
return with Patch 1.
We have received reports of players having trouble
with the following quests.
Midnight Raid
Seige of Barad Morlas
These are 3 person instances that can be entered via
two methods.
For those with the quest open, speak with the
NPC and choose Continue Quest. You need an Infused Garnet to do this.
After the NPC takes the item from your inventory youll see a travel
now option. Youll be ready to complete the instance and receive the
reward once youre finished.
Players can assist others with the instance by
speaking with the NPC as well. These players will see Available
Private Encounters. Choosing the correct encounter and then travel
now will place you in the instance. Players who enter through this
method will not receive credit for this quest. The NPC will not remove
the infused Garnet from your inventory and you will not receive the
quest rewards.
If youre trying to complete the instance, make sure
you are following the correct Quest dialogue chain and the garnet is
removed from your inventory. Once inside the instance you will not be
able to tell if you are in as a helper or a quest participant.
Remember, if you dont give the NPC something hes
not going to give you anything either.
Crafting
Some players who were in the middle of a tier of
crafting may have lost crafting experience on that tier. We intend to
resolve this issue with tech introduced in Patch 1.
The following Weaponsmith recipes have been
temporarily disabled (added 11/19):
Basic Lure
Trap Recipe
Improved Lure
Trap Recipe
Cunning Lure
Trap Recipe
Clever Lure
Trap Recipe
Miscellaneous
The item Blackfang's Demise is missing from
inventories, weapon slots, and vaults. We intend to correct this issue
in Patch 1."
Comment about these known issues in our
forums. The portion of Moria called Nud-Melek by the dwarves has a players
guide.
"The easternmost region of Moria is also the most ancient. Called
Nud-melek by the Dwarves, this is the Khazad-dûm of old, the
halls first dug out of the mountain by the Dwarves of the First Age.

Guide and join the discussion!"
